Lorena Gonzalez has two passions in her life, traveling and cooking.

In her youth, her parents involved her for fifteen years in their bakery & catering business.

In her spare time, Lorena has been working in the travel business, gaining experience, in several agencies, until, in 2013; she opened her own agency, known as Orbis Tours.

In March 2020, the COVID 19 pandemic abruptly interrupted the operations of her travel agency, and their resumption at full speed was not predictable.

Unable to remain passive in the face of events, Lorena thought of rekindling her second passion, cooking.

With the efforts and fervor of her three partners who share a great passion for good food, impeccable service, and customer satisfaction, has opened a new business called Orbis Food.

Physically, it is a food processing workshop, dedicated to meeting demand, and developing new plates.

Located in Greater Montreal, Orbis Food is aimed primarily at end consumers, with the aim of offering artisanal quality at reasonable prices.

The vision of the directors of Les Aliments Orbis is that of a return to true values, simplicity, good taste, and personalized service, in a world tending towards the saturation of the artificial.

The enjoyment of life cannot be complete if one does not enjoy good health.

Food can really contribute to the enjoyment of life, if, it does not complicate it.

To contribute to the amenity of life, food must be, of good taste, healthy, namely, produced with ingredients, which nourish, rather than harm, our body, varied, offering us a panoply of flavors, and, last but not least, easy to consume anywhere, without complications.

In short, must offer the freedom to eat well, while being “cool”, with no constraints, without giving up the flavors that are familiar to us, but, while knowing that what we eat has been prepared with care, with fresh products fresh, a concern for healthiness, and for the nutritional value of the ingredients.

In the current context, the mission of Orbis Food will be:

• To offer a fairly specialized range of dishes, freshly prepared, with raw materials of local origin and of verifiable quality, allowing the obtaining of a final product of high quality, in an interesting variety of flavors, able to satisfy a large variety of tastes;

• Cooking with the greatest concern for hygiene, following protocols and manufacturing and transport practices, which aim to avoiding cross-contamination.

• Make a finished product that is easy to handle when consuming.

• Deliver finished product in sanitary packaging that is easy to dispatch and move safely, during delivery or pickup.

• Marketing products with a very attractive price-quality ratio.

To whom, Orbis Food, wants to sell its products?

To everyone, but, to begin with, to those who, because of the pandemic, had to change their work habits, they have less time to cook, sometimes having moved their office at home, also less space to cook.

So, we invite you to discover our products and wish you: Bon appétit!!
